It was a rock lobster...

Posted Jun 30 at 3:26 AM

Apologies for the blogging break, but there's just not been anything worth writing about.

Lets see... What's been going on...

Well, I still have the neck of a lizard, only now I seem to be part lobster, part lizard and part panda, as you can see from the photos below...

Oh and I also have the bowel of a pregnant woman...

Next time I have the bright idea to go to the doctors and actually take the antibiotics they prescribe...

Somebody...

Anybody...

Please, just... TALK ME OUT OF IT!!!!

Am I too young to be thinking about incontinence pads?

There she was just walking down the street, singing...

I currently have the urge to do copious amounts of swearing.

And as anyone who knows me will testify, that is not like me at all... The last time I had the urge to swear (which I gave in to in the end) was around 1987...

So it's safe to say, I'm not a happy fraggle!

I went to the doctors earlier in the week to find out about this rash on my neck.

Ever since I watched the first episode of Chuck the other week I just can't get that song out of my head...

I got a strange email yesterday from swydm.com (yes I still refuse to call it reezle!) it seems I have a premier membership for 10 days and I have no idea how.

All very odd...:???:

Well let's see... What's been happening here...

The Smurf Report: Canon FS100 Digital Camcorder

Posted May 6 at 12:42 PM

I finally got my mitts on the new camcorder, and it looks pretty good. They do three versions, all identical except for the colour. They do Silver, Wine and Blue. QVC didn't have the Blue so I went for the Wine as a change from the bog-standard Silver that everything seems to be at the moment.

Headin' down the Atlanta Highway...

Posted Apr 21 at 1:06 PM

Well it must be getting close to summer...

I can always tell because I can't stop singing B-52's songs... *shrugs* don't ask me why, I just live here...

All I know is a good resounding burst of "Love Shack" at the top of my lungs is a sure sign that the good weather has finally arrived.

It's been quite busy here of late... Dental appointments, Opticians appointments...

I was at the dentist this afternoon, and I think I've seen it all now.

I sat in the chair and I was asked to put on a pair of safety goggles...

Now maybe it's me, but I'm a bit confused why I need to be wearing safety goggles while someone peers down my throat.

Apparently it's for health and safety, in case they poke a tooth and some of it shatters, flies through the air and lands in my eye, in which case I could sue...

Personally if that happened I'd probably be more concerned about suing for what on earth they were doing to my teeth to cause that to happen than the fact that it went near my eye... At the rate we're going people will have to be placed in hazmat suits just for a trip to the doctors at this rate!

I feel grubby...

Actually grubby is too nice, I feel downright dirty

I was looking out of the window, as you do, and there's two doves sat on the fence up near the house. I ran to grab the camera because the looked so cute.

Turn the camera .. the shot, I'm just about to take it when suddenly one starts having it's wicked way with the other one (who was so impressed she didn't even stop cleaning her feathers!)

A few seconds later and it's all over, and they're both staring in the window at me stood there with a camera pointed at them.

I feel so dirty... It's like being caught watching the neighbours (I'd imagine anyway...)

Of course stood there with the camera on them I also felt like I'd just been found making birdy porn

That don't impress me much...

My eyes, my eyes! Well, technically that should be my eyebrows, but I'm getting ahead of myself. It's been kind of a rough week, which partly explains the lack of entries (it's also down to nothing interesting to write about too...) There's been good news, bad news (nothing bad, just news of the non-good kind, rather than "bad news" as such) Of course, as is usually the case in these instances, even the good things have a slap in the face following close behind, just to keep my feet on the ground (or 6 feet under at least!) So... Last Wednesday was the first thing of note... Read more

Closing time, time for you to go out...

Posted Mar 8 at 10:31 AM

I'm quite fortunate, I've never moved house, so I've never had all the stress, strain and emotional upheaval that goes with it.

But it feels a bit like the end of an era today. I feel like I've just finished packing and I'm taking my last longing look at the place I've called home for so long.

My premier runs out sometime today over at swydm, and I'm not bothering to renew it this time.

Carry on my wayward son...

Posted Mar 6 at 1:46 PM

Two things just occurred to me today.

Quite why these two things, and why today *shrugs* Your guess is as good as mine.

1st thought of the day...

If you go on a boat trip they have to have enough life jackets, and certain numbers of life boats (titanic anyone?)

So how come you go on a plane and you're provided with a cheap looking oxygen mask but no parachute?

2nd thought of the day...

Why is it when you talk to a non-native English speaking person, it never matters how bad their English is, they always know a volley of swear words in English?
