So Jackson entered the world via emergency C-section on Monday, October 8th at 3:43am.  He was 5lbs 15 oz and 19 inches long.  I had him about 40 days premature, so he will be in the NICU until at least Thursday.  I posted some pics of my little man.

Sorry it's been awhile

Sorry it's been so long

Here is the update with me....

I am currently 30 weeks and 1 day pregnant.   We are now going day by day.

I was admitted into the hospital on 8..20 after a routine ultrasound.  I was told that my cervix was thinning out.  A doctor administered a fetal fibronectrine test.  This test basically tells if you have a chance of delivering.  It came back positive.  I was then given Procardia and 2 doses of a stereoid to help mature Jackson's lungs.  I was sent home the next day on strict bedrest.  I was told that I was allowed to go out once a day, but I had to be in a wheelchair.  That week was seriously hell on Earth.  My Poppy had been admitted into the hospital on 8.16 w/ a stroke and had severe brain damage.  He had to have 3 brain surgeries w/n 2 days.  My Mamaw was admitted on 8.18 for congestive heart failure from the stress of possibly lossing her husband.  Then I was admitted.  I was informed on Thursday, 8.23, that my Poppy had passed away and the funeral would be on Saturday.  On Friday, my mom called me and told me that I had to meet her at Community South b/c my dad had had another episode.  He had another seizure.  They found out that it was caused by his Lipitor.   Saturday was the funeral.

Then Monday, I went back to the doctor.  I told him that I was having a lot of pressure.  He did a pelvic exam and informed me that I was 3-4 cm dialated.  I was told to go straight to the hospital.  I was admitted on 8/27 for preterm labor.  I was on Mag for  24 hours to stop my contractions.  That was horrible.  I've been here every since.  I now have a turbertilene (sp) in my leg to help keep my contractions at bay.  I will most likely be in here for the duration of my pregnancy.... yeppie....

New job

Posted

So July 30th will be my last day at T. J. Maxx.  I will be the SIMS coordinator at Walgreens (which is closer to my house...by like 4 minutes....lol).  It pays more, which is what I need.  And it's a change of setting.  I can't wait to start.

Sorry it's been awhile... I know

I transferred to the Greenwood store this week.  I still don't know if I like it yet or not.  I'm wanting another job.  I can't see myself working at T.J. Maxx with a baby.  I can support myself (well kinda), idk about another person.  I have an interview at Radio Shack tomorrow for a store manager position.  I also had an interview with Babies 'R Us for a department manager position.  I'm hoping one of these work out for me.

I had another ultrasound today.  It's definitely a little boy.  My belly is getting big (sorry for not posting pics).  I will be able to when I get the internet in my room, so whenever I get my butt in gear.  I still haven't gained any weight, and I've actually lost about 20lbs.  The baby is healthy though, so they aren't really worried.

I plan to be out of my parents' house in about 6 months, but we will see how that goes.

jobs jobs jobs

So I'm supposed to be transferring to the Greenwood store on June 16th.  I will be doing the same thing I currently am, and getting paid the same amount of money (which is close to nothing).  I applied for a couple jobs at AT&T and received an email to schedule testing for this one job.  It starts out at $10.81 an hour plus commission with a raise every 6 months.  I would be making almost 3.5 more on the hour if I got this job.

What would you do if you were in this situation?

my daddy

Posted

Some of you know that I got a rather frightening call on my way to work on Tuesday.

My mom had just told me to be prepared that my dad would be calling me today.  Right after she said that, my dad's number beeped in.  I told my mom I would call her back.  When I answered, there was a huge pause, which was not common for my dad.  I said "dad are you there?"  The response I got, was not from my dad.  It was from his boss.  Donnie told me that my dad was having a heartattack and wasn't breathing.  I asked him if they were playing a joke on me.  He said, "No.  It's not a joke.  The EMT's have been here for 20 minutes trying to stabilize him.  I'm sorry to call you, but you were the only name I really recognized."  I asked him if he had called my mom.  He said, "No I couldn't find her number, will you please call her?"  I told him I would and hung up.

I was hysterical.  I called my mom and was trying to explain what had happened.  She was getting upset because she couldn't understand me and I was upset b/c I thought she wasn't listening.  When I finally got it through to her, she started crying and said she would call Michael (my brother).  I then called Steven and told him what was going on.  He asked if I'd like him to come with me.  I told him yes.  He said that he'd call me back in a few minutes.  I was about 10 minutes from work when the call came from my dad's phone.  I walked in with my make-up running and went straight to the office.  I told her what was going on and she said leave now and go up there.  I told her that Steven was coming to be with me.

We left Bloomington around noon.  As we were leaving, I got a call from my mo saying they had to switch hospitals b/c one was closer then the other.  I asked her why he was just getting to the hospital.  It had been almost an hour since the EMT's had started working on him.  She said she didn't know.

When got to the hospital a little bit before one.  My brother was joking about how to not piss off my dad.  Apparently it took 2 guys to take him out of his chair when he stiffened up and 8 to hold him down in the ambulance.  He is covered in bruises b/c of fighting with everyone.  The hospital couldn't find anything wrong with him.  They said that he had had a seizure that was caused by a low sodium level.  They told him he was drinking too much water and not eating enough salt.  So he has a lot of appointments for brain scans and other things to see if anything else is wrong.

Apparently this whole situation has changed him as a person.  He never used to apologize for anything, and he has started saying he's sorry and telling everyone that he loves them more.  He really seems like a different person.  I think this whole ordeal has scared him more then it did the rest of us.

I just wanted to tell you all that I felt the baby move last night.  It was a fluttering sensation and one that I will remember forever.

Just a heads up

I just wanted to tell you all that I'll be moving home on June 2nd.  And until I can get my own internet connection, I won't be checking this site as I regularly would.  I'll be able to check myspace and my email more.
