Beautiful Cape Town

Posted

While we had the family here we did a lot of touristy stuff and it just made me realise that Cape Town is in my opinion the most beautiful place on earth.  Since I have been to many corners of the earth this is an experienced point of view.  I don’t know where else you would get such diversity in such a small area. Thought I would share with you some pictures of our beautiful mother city!

Xmas

Posted

We had such a fantastic Christmas!  First of all it was great to be home and have Christmas in the sunshine, weird to all you people in the north but I guess Christmas is what you are used to.  I made myself a goal when we left the that by Christmas we would be settled in a house and have finished any renovations and I am very glad to say that we achieved it.  There are still a few minor things I want to do but we have everything the way we want it.

Christmas was especially good this year as we had all the family together and I love to throw parties so even though there was a ton of cooking to do for everyone (we had a minimum of 7 for dinner every night for two weeks!) I enjoyed playing hostess.

We took a walk on the beach at sunset along with a cooler and cocktails of course!  In the end we decided to host a New Years Party which was very festive, we had a Mexican theme and I made a Mexican dinner for about 20 and of course lots of cocktails to go round.

And who says we don’t have snow in Cape Town !

Sunset on Xmas day

I bought my husband a shark dive for Xmas, he is a bit of a daredevil so it was right up his alley.  Here is one of the sharks he took a photo of from the side of the boat.  He was really lucky and got to see about 8 different sharks and even luckier that the sea was nice and calm.
