Update - May 27th

Posted

May 14th was a very odd day.

I was called to do my second day on the TV show and ended up spending 2 days in ICU and a total of 4 days in the hospital.

I was involved in a ratchet pull that went wrong. Due to legal issues at the moment I can not go into the specifics of the stunt but I will explain the aftermath:
I ended up being knocked out for a good 30-45 seconds
afew cuts to the back of my head
a complex concussion with internal bleeding in the brain
2 herniated discs in my upper neck
and to top it all off a balanced fracture in my skull ( balanced being that the fracture is there BUT it is not pushing in on my brain or sticking out, it is simply where it is)

This has kept me out of action for nearly two weeks and will keep me out of work at best 10 weeks, at worst...its time to find a new line of work.

In my many years of martial arts training I have been knocked out for no more than a second, little blackouts, where you get hit in the head or a nerv cluster and stumble, but this was the scariest thing ever.
Although you never really know how to react to it when you it happens to you.
When I ws coming to I realized I wasn't breathing, so I started, and then realized at that moment I couldn't really see, although it began coming back to me slowly.
I heard voices of my friends (two of the other stunt doubles) and teh effects guys around me telling me not to move, lay still I as in an accident.
Soon there after the EMTs arrived and the rest of the next few hours/days is a blur.

I am after nearly two weeks able to walk short distances on my own. My father allowed me to sta a few days at his place and then I was transported to my step-father's for a week, then back to my father's this weekend while I await the green light to climb stairs. *I live on the thir floor of an apartment*

I miss home, I miss my health, but have had a great support of family and friends helping me through.

Now that I can read in spurts I will be back online and looking to continue getting o know you all.
I hope you guys have a great week

New job

Posted

So I got booked on a new Latin mini-series called "GABRIEL" starring CHAYANE as the hero and José Luis Rodríguez (the man I am doubling) as the villian.

Normally vampire mini-series are..um...decent at best. This one however has an amazing scirpt, amazing acting...and amazing stunts!

So in the process of prepping the first fight scene, a decision had to be made by me due to a sitatution that saw me do something I did not believe I would ever do.

For the first time in 14 years, I have short hair.

Will post new pics soon! Its a big change
