As it has been stated here before, fall/end of the season races are some of my favorites. This past Sunday was no exception. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere genial and the results were excellent. One hundred well turned laps. Thankfully, all wrecks were avoided and our equipment held up. The one issue that did dog us was still being underpowered. Our set up hit the mark, but the discrepancy in horsepower between our car and the front runners was all too apparent.

One small moment we savored was the annihilation of a driver we used to run against at another track. Not a bad guy, but one that never had a good thing to say and was always ready with an excuse. In short, he got his doors blow off. Petty? Perhaps. But victories are tough to come by and you take 'em where you can.

Driver introductions and parade laps in the officials trucks were a nice touch added by track management.

All in all, a satisfactory ending to a season that started out in brutal fashion.
