Memphis power pop weekend:

Last one out?  Please turn off the lights at Fenway Park. Can't say I was too stunned with the Rays victory. Disheartening, nonetheless. It will be interesting to see what tweaking takes place over the off season.
 
 
Whilst daydreaming, I couldn't help being reminded how quickly those things you were feted for can be so quickly discarded.
 
 
Book of the moment - "The Children" by David Halberstam. I've recommended this book on here before. Why am I doing it again? John Lewis ( House Of Rep, Georgia) and his comments concerning McCain's campaign. Read the book and consider the thought of walking in Lewis' shoes. For the nay-sayers? I'll put it simply -- fuck off.


Snack of the moment - Snyder's Sourdough Pretzel Nibblers.
 
 
Dinner of the moment - Chili. Okay, I put a snack first. I'm an adult (allegedly) so I eat in any order I want. Nyah, nyah, nyah.


DVD of the moment - "Band Of Brothers"
 
 
TV of the moment - "Chocolate News" - I like David Alan Grier, but wasn't too thrilled with the first episode. I will give it another chance and see if it gets better.
