Life changes

A lot has been going on. I didn't have a good Christmas, I had to bury my childhood friend. She was in a horrible car accident, so I went back home to North Carolina. I miss her. I went to court on Jan 3rd and got temporary custody of her daughter, considering she stated in her will that she wanted her to be with me. I knew that i was in her will, but I didn't ever dream that this would happen. It's like she saw this comming. She called me back in October and asked me how she should do everything and if I was okay with being on it. I never dreamed that just a few months later she would be gone.  So, she's now living with me. We go back to court on Feb 21st to make the adoption final. It's going to be hard on both of us. I'm not used to being a mother role model, although I love children to death and I've always been close to Miss Zoey. My work schedule will have to change some, I need to have more time for her. She's having a hard time with the loss of her mother and moving several states away. I know she'll be fine though, I'm going to make sure of it. So, that's why I haven't been around, had some business to take care of.  Merry Christmas, late anyways. Also, thanks to everyone for the kind Birthday wishes. I appreciate it. I'm posting a picture up of Zoey in my gallery, that Lacey had sent to be me last month.

Mood: Lonely
First a small update. I went to the doctor today for a follow-up. Everything is comming along okay. I'm still in some pain, mainly my shoulder so I have been taking some meds for that. I was hoping to start back to work tomorrow but the doctor didn't think it would be a good idea, so I'm going back on Monday. I've had a lot of friends drop by with food and movies. What else is there to do? Did I mention that I have a crush?  Okay, I've been tagged by metsman.

Mood: Sore
My Thanksgiving was great. I went to my friends parents house with her in East Texas. We spent the night there and played trivial pursuit all night long, we're dorks.

Yesterday I was in a car accident.  I was going around this sharp corner by my friends house and this car came around at the same time in my lane. My car is not a beauty anymore. My back is hurt pretty bad but not broken. I dislocated my collar bone and I had to get 10 stiches across my left arm from the broken glass.

I'm driving  a rental car for who knows how long. Hopefully I'll hear something by tomorrow whether or not my car is totaled. I know it is, it doesn't take much for it to be. I'm okay though, just sore, stressed and lonely. I had my Pugsley with me, and I'm thankful he didn't get hurt. He's the only thing that keeps me going these days, I have no life. I get online today and see something that really bothers me but who cares, it shouldn't.  Life isn't what you make it out to be and I shouldn't worry about such small stuff.

I can't believe it's been since January that I have wrote in here. I really do have a life, ha! I've done nothing but work my tail end off. I'm working 60-70 hours a week since we have a two spots that need to be filled. I hate doing PRN in work, but it's more money so I'm okay with that.

The past two days I've been watching my best friends little girl, Kayla. She's just precious and really makes me want one of my own. The only problem, I need a daddy and husband. I'm not even dating anyone, I think that I am doomed for life. My ex fiance really tore me up emotionally and I have zero self esteem left in me.

I've met several really nice people on here, one of which I've grown quite fond of recently. I'm debating if I want to spend money on this site to buy myself a premiere though. I know I would use it, who doesn't like looking at pictures. I'm just uptight about spending money and putting my bank account on sites that I don't know that well.

So, if anyone wants to buy me one, I would appreciate it!

I'm horrible at writting things so I don't think that I will be keeping a blog or anything like that. I'm meeting a few nice people on this site and I would like to meet more. So, don't hesitate to say hi. I promise I won't bite to much.

Those that don't know me. I'm Kimberly and I just had a birthday recently. I'm now 27. I've been a nurse in Labor & Delivery for a little over two years now and I enjoy every minute of it. I have a pug that is my baby, named Pugsley. I love going out every now and then. My friends and I usually make a habit of treating ourselves to a nice dinner every weekend and whatever else we like to do. I love watching the Food Network channel. Sad, I know. I love to cook! I also love the outdoors as well. I run marathons as much as I can. They're for a good cause and it keeps me in shape.  I grew up in North Carolina and attended UNC for a year. Then I met my boyfriend and he transfered to Virgina Tech, so I followed behind him. I graduated from there in 2003, as well as my boyfriend. He got a job in Texas, so I also moved down here. We were together for 3 1/2 years and we recently ended our relationship in September. He's now living in Washington and I'm still here in Texas. I love Texas, but I also miss home. I've met some wonderful friends here though and it's nice to be somewhere on my own, instead of following whomever I'm with. That's one thing I've learned. If I ever fall in love with someone far away, no way am I moving.
