We have some big news we'd like to share with you: we've changed our name from SWYDM to Reezle.
This is a name change only. You'll still have all the features you know and love, and in its new incarnation, Reezle will remain a 18-and-up site. And, your links to the old swydm.com domain will still work.
So, why the change? Reezle is easier (and more fun) to say. We think it reflects the funny, quirky nature of our community. SWYDM, on the other hand, is seven syllables long, doesn't make much sense, and if you tell your friends about SWYDM, they're liable to think that it stands for "Southwest Youth Denominational Ministries" (which is what we told the DMV when we got our personalized plates). Then, your friends might think you're weird.
Having your friends think you're weird isn't good enough for us... we want your friends to KNOW you're weird. And "Reezle" is just the name to make that happen.
In all seriousness... an intriguing, engaging brand name like Reezle will help us grow our community. More people means more people to meet and interact with, and more fun. And you can rest assured that the unique character that has made this one of your favorite online communities will not change. We'll still be uninhibited, unconventional, unusual, and a terrific place to spend your time online.
Questions and answers about the name change:
Will the site be changing? Will it suddenly be filled with unsigned bands who want me to add them as a friend?
Not at all. Our policies will not change, and membership will still be restricted to those 18 and up.
What about my friends who read my blog? Will the old link to swydm.com break?
All of your links to swydm.com are automatically being directed to reezle.com.
Do I need to do anything different?
You don't need to do anything different, however updating your bookmarks to point to reezle.com will get you here faster. You should also let your friends know they can find you on Reezle now.
